Samsung Galaxy M22 receives Android 12 update

As we’ve said more than once, Samsung has done really well in releasing timely updates to the big new Android versions for its devices, but that’s not all.

The Galaxy M22 that launched in October 2021 (when Android 12 was already official) has now just reached the front lines and is finally getting a taste of Android 12 with One UI 4.1. So at least it’s getting the latest iteration of Samsung‘s skin. It also gets the April 2022 security patch, which is no longer current, but we will forgive it for such a low-end device.

Speaking of low-end, due to its affordable interior, the Galaxy M22 runs a core version of the One UI, which means some of the features available on high-end devices will not be available here. It’s been the same since it was launched, we’re reminding you of that fact

The Android 12 update comes in both Saudi Arabia and the UAE with build number M225FVXXU4BFD8, the only two countries so far where it is being launched. Hopefully the new software will spread more soon.
