POCO C40 debuts globally with JLQ JR510 chipset & 6,000mAh

Launched in Vietnam last week, the POCO C40 has finally made its worldwide debut. The smartphone is being marketed as the cheapest POCO smartphone and it comes with a huge battery pack. So without further ado, let’s take a look at its specs and features.

The Poco C40 comes with a curved rear panel that has a large camera island with a small module that carries two camera sensors. It has a 6.71-inch LCD display with an HD + resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels. The display offers a 60Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 400 nits. It has a thick bezel around it and a dew-drop groove for the front camera.


Underneath the hood, the device has a JLQ JR510 chipset with an octa-core processor. The chipset comes with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card. Coming to one of the main attractions of this device, it has a 6000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

For optics, the smartphone gets a dual-camera setup on the back that includes a 13MP rear primary camera with f / 1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f / 2.4 aperture. On the front, the device has a 5-megapixel selfie snapper.

The C40 POCO works on Android 11 with MIUI 13 and has a dual SIM card slot, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS and a USB Type-C port for connection. Other features include a dedicated microSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, built-in FM radio support and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Price and Availability

The POCO C40 comes in Power Black, Coral Green and POCO Yellow. The price of the device is still in the pipeline, however, it will be released as soon as it reaches the shelves of the POCO C40 store, so stay tuned.
