Google Pixel 7 Pro prototype leaks in live

A few days ago a Google Pixel 7 pro prototype roamed the eBay and Facebook marketplaces, live images and everything, and it didn’t take long for his older brother to be subjected to similar behavior. No one around here is trying to sell a prototype at the moment, but live images have been leaked.

The Pixel 7 Pro has an extra camera compared to the Pixel 7, but otherwise the design looks a lot the same on the back, the new metallic camera visor wrapped around the frame on both sides. It is so similar to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro visas that it is immediately recognized as a Google phone, but if you pay attention you will notice subtle changes in design. On the front, the Pixel 7 Pro seems to have the same curved screen as its predecessor, which could actually be the same panel.

We’re not entirely sure what’s going on with the device information listed in the name Qubot Cheetah 2. Cheetah is probably the codename for the upcoming Pixel 7 Pro, sure, but Kubot is a Chinese phone maker in its own right. Maybe this has something to do with the production of pixels? Many years ago there was a Cubot Cheetah 2 smartphone, but that’s certainly not the case – the bezels dropped it.

However, this is probably a mystery for another day. The so-called Pixel 7 Pro prototype has the same logo on the back as the Pixel 7 prototype that went on sale earlier this week, and this is the standard practice for Google – a different logo trying to obscure what device it actually is. Then again, in reality it is quite difficult when that camera visor is such a unique design feature in this day and age.
